The exclusive Seward Sanitarium has been plagued by strange events, all following the taking over of a nearby abbey by Transylvanian Count Dracula. Patients are behaving with increased violent and lustful temperaments, while mysterious bite marks are appearing on their throats. Visiting professor, Van Helsing, believes it to be the work of vampires, although head doctor, Arthur Seward, is adamant that everything can be explained rationally. But when patients and staff begin turning up dead, their bodies drained of blood, Van Helsing realizes that he must act quickly to save the others. All the while, Dracula has set his sights on the beautiful Mina, whom he intends to make his bride…
